Christmas in the City

Walking around the City this time of year you can’t help but be struck by the endless variety of Christmas trees. There are the utilitarian and the exquisitely beautiful. The wacky and the downright tacky. They’re all over. All kinds, all sorts. Often they’re front and center, in apartment lobbies or grand public halls. Other times you only get a half glimpse, or less, as they sit looking out of an apartment window or stand at the end of a long, narrow building hall. They’re in shop windows and hidden around corners when you take a peek. Overhead on awnings or dressed in lights and marching down an avenue. So here are a few of the many, many Christmas trees of the City. Happy Christmas, everyone, and Peace on Earth!
