Meet the Fuchsias!
Here are a few of the hardy fuchsias inhabiting the garden.
After almost fine years into the "Evil Master Plan & Total Garden Makeover", the population of hardy fuchsias stands at about two hundred. It's nowhere near all of them, though. These are only the ones already planted and an inkling of what's actually out there. There are many more starts waiting on the queue in what I euphemistically call my "fuchsia larder".
Also not pictured here (yet anyway) are the species that overwinter in the greenhouse (a.k.a. the Fuchsiarium), those tender potted fuchsias that snore the cold season away slumbering peacefully in the garage, and those plants destined for the annual Fuchsia Show of the Oregon Fuchsia Society being kept captive in pots out of practical necessity.
