Point Defiance Park, Tacoma, Washington

Part of Metro Parks Tacoma, Point Defiance Park was established in 1905 and its seven hundred acres make it one of the largest urban parks in the United States. There are a number of thematic gardens in the park including the Japanese Garden as well as others dedicated to roses, rhododendrons, irises and dahlias. The Hardy Fuchsia Garden is maintained in conjunction with the Tahoma Fuchsia Society and now showcases over 125 plants.
