The 2010 Oregon Fuchsia Society Convention in Portland, Oregon
The third visit of the day was to Portland’s famed International Rose Test Garden. But this time with a twist. A fuchsia twist. On a slope off to the side, past rank after rank of some of the finest soft-blushed and scented beauties in the world, a fuchsia display bed flourishes in a spot just a tad too shady for the sun-loving rose. And they do flourish perfectly. These plants are donated and maintained by members of the Oregon Fuchsia Society and our host for this happy excursion was none other than Harry Landers, Curator of the Rose Garden.
